Tomoko in Bangkok with Emerson Lake & Palmer

A few friends and colleagues have written privately, or blogged, and kindly mentioned how much they will miss not seeing Tomoko at the Event Processing Summit and Symposium this month.  She is currently in Japan visiting friends and family.    Here is a video I made  with Tomoko on the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, set to the music of ELP.  Enjoy!

  1. Tim,

I recently found out that you won’t be at either the Gartner Event Processing Symposium or the EPTS event. I was looking forward to meeting you there. Have you considered adding an ‘Events’ page to your blog to let us know where you’ll be?

    Kum Bai Ya,

    Colin

  2. Hi Colin,

    Thanks for visiting and commenting.

Since the end of May I have intentionally slowed down my public speaking. From Feb to May I was doing a lot of speaking and client presentations, including a TV interview on a financial channel in Thailand. The market is so slow with the “maybe” recession it is hard to get excited about flying around the globe speaking. So, if I had an “events page” like I used to keep, it would be pretty boring!

I may speak at the Cyber Defense Initiatives Conference (CDIC 2008) in Bangkok this fall (800+ people) but this is not confirmed at this time.

    Yours sincerely, Tim
